I am a passionate researcher with a keen interest in unraveling the mysteries of biological systems through the lens of peptide chemistry and mass spectrometry.
I am a PhD student in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GT). Currently, I work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA), teaching first-year general chemistry to undergraduate students at GT. As a doctoral student, my research enthusiasm lies in the areas of chemical biology and immunology.
1. My graduate research focuses on developing conjugated antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) with cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs) and engineering noncovalent antimicrobial peptide stapling using Fmoc-α-methyl-L-phenylalanine.
The thesis entitled- Noncovalent Peptide Stapling and Antiviral-Cell Penetrating Peptide Conjugations Targeting the Main Protease of SARS-CoV-2
2. Awarded the prestigious 2023 Kennesaw State University's Best Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for demonstrating outstanding teaching abilities and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for undergraduate students.
3. Honored recipient of the 2024 Outstanding Graduate Award for Master of Science in Chemical Sciences at Kennesaw State University, GA. Recognized for exceptional academic performance and significant contributions to the field, as selected by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry faculty. Committed to advancing chemical sciences through innovative research and academic excellence.
I completed my Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry and minors in Physics and Mathematics. Alongside my studies, I volunteered as an undergraduate researcher in my undergraduate university's physical chemistry research laboratory. During this time, I researched drug-surfactant interactions, phase Separation, and thermodynamics properties of surfactants, and I published 3 peer-reviewed research articles during my undergraduate research period at Jahangirnagar University.

It was a long 8-year journey with The Red-Green Research Centre (RGRC), beginning as a freshman volunteer researcher in 2016. I served as a researcher and research assistant from 2016 to 2020 and as a lab manager from 2020 to 2022, in this timeframe, I worked with more than 200 researchers. I conducted numerous research projects and published over 30 peer-reviewed articles during this time. Additionally, I organized and conducted training sessions, teaching computational chemistry to more than 1,000 high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in Bangladesh.
